Where can I buy lardo in the U.S.?

My bf and I were watching the other evening and Anthony Bourdain was in Italy. Kev was absolutely in awe of lardo and I'd like to get him some as a fun treat. So far, the only web site that I found sells it is Murray's Cheese. Do you know of any other web sites? Does Murray's sell quality goods via the interweb? I live in CT, which is sprinkled with old pockets of Italian immigrants. Is lardo the kind of thing an Italian market might have? Or perhaps another specialty food store?

I've seen at DeLaurenti in Seattle. Buona fortuna!

In NYC, it's sold at Buon Italia in Chelsea Market.

Yes, you can buy lardo and tons of "quality goods" from the Murray's website - http://www.murrayscheese.com/searchprods.asp?txtsearch=lardo&x=0&y=0

I think Zingerman's also has it if you can't find it locally. You could also cure your own...

Boccalone http://www.boccalone.com/index.cfm , Incanto's salumeria in San Francisco, has fabulous lardo. I don't see an option to buy just lardo to be shipped, but they have a Lardo, Pancetta, and Guanciale Sampler http://www.boccalone.com/index.cfm?method=products.productDrilldown&productid=9007cc73-9bbe-a959-adbb-19fbc364fc63&pageID=5d727b8e-1e0b-4e34-f01b-576ccc392692&sortBy=rating and I can tell you their guanciale makes the best carbonara I've ever had.

it's pretty easy to make, if you wanted to try. otherwise, murrays. and you only live in CT...lardo would be a good reason to pop down to the city.

La Quercia out of Iowa at www.laquercia.us . It's the best .

Have you tried D & D on Franklin Ave, Hartford?

If they don't have, I'll bet they can order it for you.

Also, give DiBacco's a try further down Franklin Ave... it's a Mom and Pop store and lunch spot.
