Starting at Institute for Culinary Education tomorrow!
Hello,
I start at the Institute for Culinary Education tomorrow for the Culinary Arts program. I'll be in the evening program. Anyone have any words of advice? Or is there anyone else starting? I hope we do get to start and they don't close for the snow!
Thanks!

The Celebrity Apprentice is making cupcakes at ICE. They give a good view of the kitchen area.

I really enjoyed my time over at ICE. Just dive right in and get your hands dirty (well, that's a given. hehe!) Oh, and as early as now choose a few spots where you might want to do your internship.
I hope you get Chef Ted. He's the man. You'll see why... ;)
Good luck!

I am so jealous, I might cry! Good luck to you, and enjoy every second!

Congratulations! Good Luck! I loved it there. Good times in Pastry and Restaurant Management. Richard Vayjda is the best as is Chef Kathryn and Chef Reeni and Chef Chad too :)

I did get Chef Ted! He seems very strict, but he totally knows his stuff!!

I'm about to graduate from the pastry program next week. I've loved my time there and plan to go back for more recreational classes after I graduate. Ask a lot of questions and attend the seminars if you can. They pass around flyers constantly for extra classes and the ones I've gone to were great. The only part I found frustrating is the externship process. The advisors are not very helpful at all. You have to do a lot of leg work yourself, and they force a very limit scope of restaurants down your throat.
