Always enjoy visiting 'The Beltway' and taking in some of the better restaurants in D.C. This last visit included a fine fish dinner at long-running Kinkead's and once we received our bill I noticed a whopping 10% tax added...after checking I was told that Washington, D.C. now imposes a 10% tax on restaurant meals and on premise liquor consumption. It's too much, no? How far do the powers that be think the consumer will go? How does your city or town fare with dining out taxes?
