Has anyone ever been to Noodle Pudding in Brooklyn?

Just wondering what you thought.

Hi Pooch!

I went a few months ago with my husband and a friend. It was really busy when we went (no reservation), but we didn't wait too long for a table. We all liked it a lot! The mussels were great, as was the bread and oil they brought at the start of the meal. I think I got a pasta with red sauce, which was very good. Our friend got a simply prepared fish that he really liked; I forgot what my husband got but he liked his dish as well. I will add that we were REALLY hungry when we went, so anything probably would have tasted great! Seriously though, it was a good restaurant that we will definitely go back to.

I live in the neighborhood and go there regularly. The prices are very reasonable and the dishes are almost always solid (I think I have only been disappointed once). The calamari is excellent, so I can tell they know what they are doing. The atmosphere is busy and oftentimes, I have had to wait for a table (so go early). This is also the neighborhood spot I take out-of-town guests.

We've eaten there several times and it's always great. Just really good, simple Italian fare, with very reasonable prices. Great prices on wine, too. And very friendly staff. Enjoy!

I've eaten there. Its very good. If you don't want to wait go early.

The octopus salad was fantastic, my noodles with mushrooms were tasty, if not relevatory, and they have Lambrusco on the wine list. Two thumbs up!

cash only, caveat eater!

Agreed with everyone else! It can be busy so try going early, and cash only. Everything I've tried has been a good, and the prices are reasonable (including the wine). Service is pretty good too. When the weather gets nice, they open up the front windows.

thanks everybody!!! appreciate all of your input....

I went a few months ago, and don't think its anything more than a decent neighborhood option. We had a cheese & salumi plate which i would advise against, although our entrees were much better (but still nothing revelatory -- i don't even remember what we had anymore). Good neighborhood place, sure, but fine dining or destination restaurant its not. We're talking laminated menus and the kind of mass-produced wine glasses that wouldn't break even if you dropped them on the tile floor.

Again, i'm saying that to give a clearer picture of what this restaurant is, not to knock it. If you're nearby, stop in. If you're not, don't go out of your way.

Love Noodle Pudding! It's our go-to neighborhood restaurant. The specials are usually very good and I love the gnocchi with butter and sage sauce.
