Fage and...?

I love Fage yoghurt and usually eat it with berries...but what are some of your favorite toppings?

30 Comments:

Fresh fig and honey

diced cucumbers. seasoned with cumin and coriander. also, maple syrup and blueberries.

My favorites are the honey fage and the strawberry fage, so my toppings come with it. I've never tried the plain, but I would probably top it with blueberries or kiwi fruit.

I like it with honey, but I also like to use it as a topping for savory foods, anywhere you might use sour cream.

either granol.a and agave nectar... or berries w/ agave nectar

Last night I topped savoury zucchini and walnut pancakes with Greek yogurt.. not fage, Trader Joe's- just as yummy and much cheaper:)

i love it topped with toasted walnuts and honey

...nothing. I just like it plain.

...nothing, I love eating it plain.

Oh nice, I just made like almost the exact same comment as the person above me.

with bananas or fruit salad and sometimes with musli or all bran

@inothernews - you know what they say about great minds...:-)

shaved chocolate, a hit of pomegranate concentrate or a spoonful of peach butter or some kind of fruit jam (sugarless)..... i love these
greek style yogurts.

i also make salad dressings from them.... in the food processor, a scoop of yogurt, a little olive oil, a clove of garlic, lemon, herb of choice (dill, mint, cilantro)

As a topping on sliced bananas.

Or plain.

freeze dried mango {http://www.justtomatoes.com/OJM-P.html} and walnuts or pecans, a little orange flower water and some sugar.

maple syrup is good too. i love to make ground lamb meatballs and serve them with a sauce made from fage thinned with some evoo, lemon and garlic. or saute some bananas in butter and brown sugar and put that on there.

Strawberries, dry oatmeal, toasted nuts...all mixed together. Kind of like a muesli. yum yum

blackberries, strawberries, and homemade granola. or bananas with granola-- for breakfast. I'll also use it in place of mayonnaise in chicken salad.

I like it plain or mixed with a little maple syrup, either as is or as a dip for fruit.

I also make a savory raita out of it with radishes (I know cukes are the norm, but radishes are SO much better), mint, cumin, salt.

A handful each of goji berries and walnuts and a squirt of agave; every once in a while I also stir in a teaspoon acai powder...

With fresh strawberries from Oxnard, CA; with Scandinavian Raspberry Jam; on top of Trader Joe's Stone Ground Crackers; with Cinnamon Raisin from the deli (not the red package in the store!).

Another vote for cumin/dill dip-style for cukes (have never tried it with radishes - will have to make a point to do so after reading the suggestion!). Also, I like to mix it with almond butter, cinnamon and a touch each of honey and vanilla. Great for a quick, sweet breakfast, topped with a little granola. :)

I know this wasn't the question but... I love baking with it, and I also make panna cotta with it. In terms of eating, my favorite topping is blueberries, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup and some toasted sliced almonds.

Blood orange marmlade. Yum!

I finally found some and have been waiting for another Fage post!

I have been eating mine with a little bit of strawberry perserves mixed in. I tried peanut butter and honey the other day.

Can't wait to try these savory suggestions!

A little bit of cardamom and some pistachios.

Melted peanut butter and pepitas.

Pepitas, golden raisins, and maple syrup.

I mostly eat it plain but if I want a little extra something, it's fig or strawberry preserves or honey
@Jennefur-melted p.b.?!--HHMM-now, that's an idea!!!
