Cutting Brussels Sprouts Into "Ribbons"
I've made variations on this recipe a couple of times, and it occurred to me while prepping last night that I have absolutely no idea how to cut brussels sprouts into "ribbons" like the recipe calls for. Whether I cut horizontally or vertically after removing the stem, I always find that I have to comb through and toss out half of what I've cut because the stems hold the ribbons together.
Is there some technique to this that would make the process easier / allow me not to end up throwing out half my sprouts?
