Biscotti Book

I make a killer anise biscotti. It's a modified recipe from a book I can no longer get (at least through Amazon). Anyone have any suggestions on either a) how to get a copy of the book "Biscotti" by Lou Siebert and Piet Halberstadt or a reliable source for biscotti recipes? (A reliable source would offer recipes for traditional Italian style biscotti, not just any old cookie in a biscotti shape). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Grazie!

Alibris.com. If it's the one you're looking for, it starts at $1.99 for used, and up to $8.03 for new, right now. They list the first author, but not Halberstadt. I could just be an error in the listing, or maybe the other name they've got is an editor or photographer.

Anyway, it looks the the one you're after. Several others as well. Happy hunting.

Amazon has it. I wonder why you could not come up with any results. Just because Amazon themselves does not carry it their affiliates always have something.

I was organizing recipes that I had printed or pulled from various sources last weekend and was SHOCKED to find how many Biscotti recipe's I had -- almost required it's own folder. Probably time to buy this book myself ...

This book is available in hardcover for a cent (0.01) I picked up a better copy for 50 cents because now I am curious.

I was able to order it on Amazon, but they could never deliver (nice, eh?). I'll try Alibris... Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking for a really good recipe that includes chocolate (powder)... Any thoughts?

I made a chocolate hazelnut biscotti around Christmas, and I think I got the recipe here on SE...it had both cocoa powder and chocolate chips, and it wasn't overly sweet, which I liked.

Ah, here we are: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2008/10/chocolate-hazelnut-biscotti-recipe.html.

@Jerzee, please let us know what you think of the book...I'm trying not to overcrowd my the cookbooks now that I've got them mostly under control again. This one sounds interesting, but mostly I use the same recipe over and over, so I don't know if I really need a book dedicated to biscotti... but I'd love your opinion.

Even though your problem was solved by the Serious Eaters who found the book online, I am grateful for this thread because it reminded me that I own that book! I looked up the recipe for Anise Biscotti and it sounds wonderful--anise seeds, and also Sambuca. Wow! Thanks for the tip.

I'm gonna order one of those .01cent copies as soon as I can remember my Amazon account password.

Got the book from Alibris. Thank you!! It's the one! SOOOO looking forward to a couple of nice recipes to add to the feast. Lots of biscotti and Vin Santo here... Thanks to all with suggestions. I highly recommend you play with your biscotti recipes and enjoy the results.
