9 grain bread mix Hodgson Mills expiration date is unreadable
I have found 2 boxes of Hodgson Mills 9 grain bread mix in the back of my cupboard. The other box has an expiration date of 04 08 07.
This box looks like it may have ended in either a 6 or an 8. I can make out the month and date (10 10), but not the year...)
The barcode on this second box was 715800805.
Does this type of grain & flour go bad or should it be ok?
It is in the bread maker now. I used apple sauce rather than butter or oil and I also used fresh yeast rather than the yeast that came with the package.
I'm just wondering if there is any reason why I shouldn't taste it if it comes out looking like it should be edible.
