Where to buy Abita in NY (preferably Brooklyn)?

I'm having a NOLA themed party next weekend, and want to have a lot of Abita Amber on hand. Anyone know who stocks it (without special order)?

The Abita finder was no help, so i'm not sure. I know that the Abita Amber isn't necessarily common anyway, you may have better luck finding Turbodog.

Thanks, Prairie. I checked the Abita finder too.

Eagle Provisions, 5th Ave between 17th and 18th (Brooklyn). Call ahead and check, but I'm pretty sure they have it. They have the biggest beer selection I've ever seen.

Ooh! Thanks, Michele. I've always wanted to go there, and now I have a great excuse.

Have you tried to Purple Haze? It's a bit sweet but one of my favorite beers on this planet!

might also ask at Bierkraft in Park Slope, and Spuyten Duyvil Grocery in W-burg.

Associated on Myrtle Ave. also Whole Foods sometimes stocks it.

They sell a wide variety of Abita beers at Whole Foods on Bowery & Houston -check out their beer room. It's not in Brooklyn, but it is on the F line.

call Bierkraft, but i'm pretty sure they'll have it. I've purchased Abita Amber from there before. If it's not in the display case, ask them about it, they might have it in the back/basement

If you want to make the trip, Dive 106 is celebrating Mardi Gras with week with twelve lines of Abita and they sell growlers to go.

surprising question.....you'd think people would just know to go to Bierkraft. I've bought several varieties, including the seasonal varieties, of Abita there.

Bierkraft or Whole Foods for sure has it...

I buy it at Fairway all the time. I go to the uptown one, but I'm sure they stock it in Brooklyn too.
