Upper West Side drinks on Valentine's
Is there a good neighborhood place, not too expensive, on the upper west side of Manhattan where
we could have drinks Sat night without being crowded out by the
Valentine's people?

Are you looking for beer or cocktails? Rosa Mexicano by Lincoln Center is nice but may be crowded. O'Neal's Balloon nearby. For beer, Dublin House (79th? or it 86th?) is classic. Or you could try the Library in the Hudson hotel.

Thanks so much. We were thinking of cocktails. Someone else suggested the new West Branch on Broadway and 77th.
