Scanpan: who has one, how do you like it?

Interested in hearing about your Scanpan experiences.

Titanium Ceramic sounds interesting. Who has one? Do you like it? Love it? Experiences?

LOVE them. They brown well, cook evenly, and clean up like a dream. So easy! I had one of the lids lose its handle-- the screw corroded! I called customer service and they sent me out a replacement right away. That's my only problem in five years. I count them among the very best purchases I've ever made!

I was looking into these some time back, and found out that scanpan makes a couple different products. The titanium one that you mentioned is the one that everyone seems to rave about. There's another version that got some poor ratings, and some people bought them not knowing that they were the lesser quality. Apparently some online sellers just say that they're scanpan, but don't mention which coating material, or that there are actually different ones to choose from.

You probably wouldn't make that mistake, but just in case someone else is thinking about these...

I went to the Viking store and bought the 12" frypan and plan to use it this weekend. It was so incredible a thing I also bought a smaller one for my mother.
This is the most interesting concept of non stick.
Will report later on what I think.
I have to stay out of the Viking store, danger Will Robinson. It is like being a junkie at a heroin party.

Viking. Store.

Viking store?

You mean there's a Viking store that I can tell people to buy me things from for my bridal shower? Really? Really really??? HEE!!!!!

This may be one of the few places where the words "Viking store" don't conjure up visions of hats with horns and guys with swords.

You go girl! I bow to your greatness. You have outshopped me. I have no viking store...

The Viking store a quiet hidden enterprise is aka Viking cooking school

No one knows its a store because they do not have a website that tells you much. However they do have cookbook authors give demos and hands on classes.
I never shop there much because I have a Wolf and everything they sell there I usually do not need to drive an hour to get.

You can also find some great info on Scanpan at this site.
