Costa Rican Food

I'm heading down to Costa Rica, and I'm wondering if anyone has some advice on places and types of food to eat while I'm there.
I know that I'll be in San Jose, Cahuita, and on the Nicoya Penninsula, if anyone has some actual restaurant recommendations.
