Nonstick pans getting a weird film inside
I have these pans - http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=114089&RN=398 . As of late, I've been noticing (particularly on my frying pans) that they have this weird texture on the inside - no longer smooth, and kind of tacky (but not quite sticky) - like if I run my finger over the interior surface it will slide over, but there will be an obvious traction.
I've tried cleaning with hot water and dish soap, letting it sit on it, but I don't know what else to use, since it is non-stick. The pans are about 6 years old.
Any suggestions would be great!
(I know there is a similar topic below, but that was geared towards a different type of pan, and for the outside)

Canola oil? Heat too high?
Can't think of the scientific term for it offhand, but oil sometimes forms that kind of film, and some oils are more prone to it than others, and the nonstick sprays can be worse than all.
If it was a stainless steel pan, I'd suggest barkeeper's friend, but I don't think that would be a good idea on nonstick.
The goo gone is fairly benign, so you could try that, or any oily degreaser kind of cleaner like one of the orange oil based ones. Of course, if it's not made for nonstick cookware, you could end up throwing the pan away, but if that goo keeps building up, you're probably going to toss it sooner or later anyway.

the same exact thing happened to my ikea non-sticks after about 5 years (i know...i know...not the best cookware choice -- but i was in college!). honestly i think it's just the non-stick coating breaking down, which creeped me out to no end and i invested in one huge stainless pan and a cast iron skilllet.

5 years old? For non-stick? You don't cook much do you....
Throw it away, non-stick means short life, disposable. Sorry.
Good reason to never buy anything non-stick besides a fry pan. Use clad stainless for your stock pots and saucepans, they will never wear out.

Laundry detergent and hot water soak it off.

Did you try boiling some water and a little dish soap or dishwasher detergent in it on the stovetop? That would remove grease, if that's what it is. If it isn't, it would be safer to get a new pan. My favorite (on a very tight budget) is Wearever Premium with metal handles and I just saw them recommended on America's Test Kitchen. The only problem is that the long handle is heavier than the pan on the small sizes. Use with heavy food...LOL. I've actually had to "prop" them on occasion, but I still like them. I like that I can transfer from stovetop to oven, and they're easy to clean.

Your pans are fine. It sounds like they have some sticky oil build-up.
Just give them a good scrub with the business end of a scrubby sponge (the blue wavy brand-name ones work best) and some grease-cutting dish soap. Use lots of hot water, too.
