Need a great Italian restaurant in Brooklyn
Looking for someplace special in either Williamsburg or Carroll Gardens. It doesn't have to be fancy... and not too heavy on the sauce and cheese, if you know what i mean. (Can be in another neighborhood also.)
Anyone?
Thanks....

Fiore in Williamsburg is oh-so-tasty. Ed did a nice write up on it a while back.
Carroll Gardens- Frankies 457 Spunito or Po. I like little Bocca Lupo in Cobble Hill, too.

Another vote for Frankies 457! Love that place, miss it a lot.

I second Fiore- tasty, and quite reasonable.

Noodle Pudding is very good, but cash only. Bocca Lupo's charming and friendly (more friendly than NP).

Aunt Suzies in Park Slope is delicious! Their vodka sauce with FRESH green peppercorns is my favorite. Eggplant parm is good too. It's not fancy, is reasonably priced and the staff is always friendly.
