I need to go pots and pan shopping!
I recently upgraded my stove to a ceramic flat top and since most of my pans are warped (not unlike the owner of said pans) I need to replace them.
I do have a new 12" skillet from a well-known home based kitchen product company that I used to sell for. It had a life time warranty and it shouldn't have warped, so I returned the warped pan for a new one. I also have a complete cookware set from this same company of a different quality that didn't have a lifetime warranty. Now I need to replace a 10" saute pan, some sauce pans and probably a griddle.
Any suggestions? I am out of the loop on cookware as I have been using this company's cookware since I earned it 9 or 10 years ago.

I made the leap and bought a Le Creuset 9 piece set, but I'm also a big fan of All Clad for sauté pans and what not. Lodge if we're talking grill pans, although I have a Le Creuset one and an All Clad one as well.

I am not big on sets. Different types of pan are better for different things. But then I admit freely that I have a problem with paying >$50 for a pan I'm mostly going to be boiling water and reheating soup in. I find Cooks Illustrated and Consumer Reports useful. I also am a big believer in the smaller "sample" pans that companies sell for $20-$30 or so, to try their heft, handles, and heat distribution.

It's a lesser-known brand, but we love our ScanPans. Lifetime warranty without the crazy All-Clad or Calphalon price. They're non-stick with a baked-in ceramic coating, not a Teflon one. And they're super-easy to clean-- run the hot pan under cold water to steam the residue off. I researched All-Clad and Calphalon before deciding on this brand. I got them at Cook's Warehouse--www.cookswarehouse.com.

I love my All-Clad. I did buy a set, which generally works out better than buying them piecemeal. Checkout retailers like Williams-Sonoma, Sur la Table, and Cooking.com--sometimes they have good promotions that also throw in extra goodies.

My roommate has Calphalon, and since my stuff is packed away in boxes at my parents, I've been enjoying using it thoroughly. That said, I think my inexpensive set from Sam's club works just as well. If you have friends who own a few different brands of cookware, you might politely ask them if you can test theirs out as research.

I got a set of Circulon pots and pans after I got engaged, its good stuff. Not terribly pricey, and I've been very happy with the results so far.

TJMaxx always has something good and reasonably priced. The often have Calphalon, Circulon, and Le Crueset. And you can get good utensils there, too.

I used to have a set of Calphalon. I was very happy with them and then had the opportunity to get a whole new set of pots and pans. I was lured by the shiny All-Clad... I think I might be in love with them. AND they go in the dishwasher!
I also have a couple of le Creuset pieces and they're great but really heavy, I can't imagine having a whole set of them. They would be nice eye-candy though.

All-Clad Copper Core and Le-Creuset! Make sure you don't get the LC knockoffs. But beware, LC is awesome, but I learned yesterday that for things like bacon...not-non-stick. Anything else is awesome!

Thanks!! My concern was that I have never had a ceramic cooktop and didn't want to use the wrong thing. I would love Calphalon - have coveted those since college (J&W '85 Culinary Arts)

I have Calphalon One and Le Creuset. Both are perfect on my ceramic cooktop (though I'd give my first-born for a gas stove). If I had to choose, I'd give up every pot, pan and kitchen appliance for my Le Creusets.
