I have an addiction to Tim Horton's 12 grain bagels

Someone from my office recently brought Tim Horton's coffee and bagels in. I must admit to never having gone there myself. I know, I sound like I live under a rock, but I have just never made a habit of frequenting any "fast food" type places. Being an admitted coffee snob, I was shocked that their coffee was quite acceptable. My problem is that I may need a 12 step program to get off their 12 (or 13 or some teen) grain bagels. To me, they are sublime. Plain, almond butter, honey - it's all good.

Has anyone ever encountered a commercial brand available in grocery stores that compares?

I can't believe you have never been to a Tim Horton's - they are on every street corner. The coffee is made fresh every 20 minutes and it tastes wonderful. The bagels are good although they are way too big for me to consume in one sitting - NOT that I can't but I am Type ll diabetic - you must be living in Canada, have you tried the bagels from the Great Canadian Bagel company and you can buy them by the dozen. I think there are comparable to Timmie's and they do have a multigrain.

LOL yeah the 12-grain is my favourite.
I really love their ham and swiss sandwiches they rule.

@bareneed - I actually live in MI, but moved from OH about a year ago. I just really try to always take fresh, healthy food from home, rather than take-away. Their 12 grains are really big, but I try to hold back on eating the whole thing at once. I just love the combo of the grains in them, especially the crunchy millet.

@hungry - they are the best for sandwiches, aren't they?

If you just like the coffee and hate the long line ups because everyone orders food, please sign my petition for a express coffee line!
