Gonna be Downtown Manhattan today... where should I eat?
Last time I went up to the city for the day, I was interviewing for a job with Serious Eats of all places (I didn't get it :( ). I stopped and got some BRGR and Momofuku and both were quick, amazing, and totally worth going a bit out of my way for. Today I'll be a few blocks south of ground zero and looking for another such meal (or two). Where should I go? Anything that doesn't require a reservation on a Tuesday night works for me.
Thanks in advanced, serious eaters!

....and I do mean anything. At all. Whatever's tasty and interesting or essential.

Aw, c'mon, guys! Help! I gotta leave in a few hours. All my searches of seriouseats.com returned either reports about how there aren't many good things to eat in the financial district or reviews of places that just opened there that aren't very good.
I'm starting to think I should just hop a cab to Ippudo or the Shake Shack and finally give those a try.

Go to Adrienne's Pizza on Stone Street.

Or Sophie's for a cuban sandwich on 73 New Street (map here)

go to shake shack, you will make up for the cab ride with the cheap food and it is worth it. unless it is raining which it could be.

Near Ground Zero:
- PJ Clarke's at World Financial Center for their burgers.
- I seoncd the suggetion of Adrienne's Pizza on Stone St for their pizza. Then follow by pastries or desserts at Financier
- Zak's halal cart at the Liberty Plaza (on Liberty Street) for their falafel. Alfanoose is also a great option for falafel or other middle eastern food.
- Le Halles on John St for their steak tartare, french onion soup, or mussels and fries (not bother with their chicken)
- Zaitzeff on John (?) also has a pretty good burger

Adrienne's fo'sho. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I have a whole section on Downtown eats... and so does Midtown Lunch, actually :)

Ended up eating at Zeizeff. Wasn't bad! But not great, either. If I had more time, I definitely would have hit Le Halles. Thanks for the advice, everyone!
