Dried Fava Beans
Help me get creative with the dried fava beans in my pantry. I've considered the hummus-like bean dip. What else have you got?

Gigantes Plaki - baked beans with a garlicky tomato sauce. Recipes vary, my aunt taught me how to make the version I use, which is all approximations.
1 lb beans - fava or giant lima (prepared)
1 14 oz can tomatoes in juice
2 T tomato paste
1/2 onion, diced
1 carrot, diced
garlic - i use 3 cloves fresh, 3 roasted
Oregano, red pepper flakes, thyme - to taste. I probably use 1/2 t. of the herbs and 1/4 t. of the flakes.
Salt and pepper
Saute the aromatics until tender, add the tomato products and herbs/pepper. Add beans and simmer until everything's combined. You can eat it straight off the stove but it's best to wait until the next day. I eat it with feta on top, and some bread. One of my favorites.
