depends on what you want.
if you want food news, there are certain sites.
if you restaurant reviews, there are others.
if you want recipe blogs based out of NY, there's another group

www.cookedbooks.blogspot.com is great, too - - draws on the menu and culinary collections of the NY Public Library, also references NYC restaurants and cooking in.

The snark can be a bit much, but a daily check in on Eater.com is a must.
