Abuelita Recipes
My Oh so awesome co-worker and fellow foodie just gave me a box of Abuelita. I love it as hot chocolate, but would love some other recipes. Has anyone cooked with this little gift from heaven?

I love Abuelita! I grew up drinking it and still do. It feels like a comfort "food." I don't have any specific recipes that revolve around it, but sometimes if I'm too lazy to go out and buy semi sweet chocolate, I'll just use Abuelita instead for chocolate sauces or brownies or whatever. As you know, it's Mexican spiced chocolate with cinnamon and a few other things. It gives boring old chocolate sauce a more interesting flavor.
Also, sometimes I just eat a triangle of Abuelita chocolate as a snack. Is that gross?

I have some Abuelita- but it's liquid form ( like's hershey's syrup.) I just use it in my chocolate milk...but I'll be waiting here for more fun ideas. Perhaps as an ice cream topping maybe over coffee ice cream?

I make a Mexican Hot Cocoa Cake from the Greystone bakery cookbook. It is really good, it has almond meal and a kind of chocolate streusel mixed in.
My kids love the syrup in milk.
