I don't know of one personally, but if your regular online search does not yield, then I highly suggest going to http://www.cakecentral.com/index-cake-decorating.html and asking on the general forum about a bakery. There are thousands of active members and I have seen many questions similar get great answers or at the very least advice on places to look. Usually someone knows the area and can be great help.

Good luck!!!

If absolutely all else fails, there's always Giant Eagle -- http://www.gianteagle.com/article.aspx?cntid=176810

I know Ind & Pa both have a good rep when it comes to cooking. My daughter is getting married July 25,09. She found a lady that lives 8 mi away. I didn't look to see where you live,I know it can be scattered. Check the weddings even if you have to look in tht paper.Check with your friends and the Amish. they do have a good heart & are real good no matter what they make. say a prayer a little extra help never hert.

It might be a little far for Greensburg, but Bethel Bakery makes the best cakes I've had in the Western PA area (they're located in the South Hills). I highly recommend them.

i actually live in the south hills and i think i am the only one who not a fan of bethal bakery!!

I went to a couple of recent weddings that had beautiful cupcake trees. One was my niece's and her grandfather made the base with all the holders. It was stunning. A couple of her friends did the cupcakes as a gift to the couple. I wonder if you could find some examples online? I don't know if this is a trend, but if it is, maybe you can purchase the tree and make and decorate the cakes? Just a thought, in case you might consider an alternative. I know they assembled it and finished the decorative touches at the reception. Less stress than trying to transport a wedding cake.

If you like Perky's cupcake tree idea, try Dozen in Squirrel Hill. Best cupcakes I've ever experienced. They'll deliver to Greensburg if you order at least five dozen.

If you absolutely need a bakery in Westmoreland County, I only know of a family-run farm bakery in Jeannette -- Schramm's -- that displays wedding cakes. Some of them look decent, but I've never tried their cakes and cannot endorse them. Check it out. If you don't like the cakes, you can buy local produce and other goods that might catch your eye.

Good luck, hungrygrl7!

i have thought about the cupcake thing cause i have a little bit of an addiction to them and just think they are adorable

I WANT CUPCAKES FROM DOZEN SO BAD!!! i visit their website quite often and drool.. i've not been but keep begging my fiance to take me there some day...

thanks for the help!!

My wedding cake came from Bethal Bakery. It was awesome. Moia's in Monroeville is sort of close to Westmorland county. THey make great stuff.

@Barbieri13: Right! Good one. Moio's is an Italian bakery in Monroeville and they do make wedding cakes. Another one to check out.
