Warm Hummus?

Does anyone else prefer their hummus served warm? I always have.

You're not alone Virgo--It depends for me on it's utilization--but I like my hummus warm on my toasted sandwiches!

Slightly cool (55-60F) hummus on warm toasted pita is my favorite. Anything "just out of the fridge" cold just doesn't have as much flavor as it does at room temperature, IMO. I leave my jar of salsa out of the fridge for 30-45 minutes before pouring a bowl for dipping, too.

IMO - room temp, also. the flavors need to develop. like taking a beautiful piece of cheese and eating it cold out of the fridge... sacraligious.
(though i always do it when i raid the fridge at midnite)

i think even white wine should be left out for a little while to take that freezing chill off....

I like my hummus room temp... or heated when I make my hummus sandwiches... yummy!!!

I even make a hummus pastelon where hummus is layered with mashed potato and baked in the oven for a little while. It's really good too.

I like warm hummus too, but I do think it depends on what it's paired with. If I'm dipping crudite into it, it has to be cold. But if it's going on pita chips or some kind of flatbread, warm is preferable. That said, I pretty much just love hummus, so I won't pitch a fit if it's not exactly the temperature I like.

Oh, and I know this may sound a little strange to some people, but I love a spoonful of it stirred into scrambled eggs or an omelette. It makes them so creamy and gives them the yummiest flavor.

I'll eat Hummus anyway. I do not discriminate. :)

@Madelyn: Those are great ideas. Going to try those. Thanks!
