Recommended Lower-Fat Potato Chips?
I am trying to reduce the amount of fat in my diet, but I am a fiend for all things fried — my favorite is a nice salty potato chip. I have tried a few baked varieties, and these new Pop Chips. Anyone have recommendations for their favorites?

Also, this is a recipe I've found and haven't tried but if you're up for it, let me know how it goes! http://www.recipezaar.com/Crispy-Baked-Radish-Chips-Low-FatLow-Carb-288830

We like the Lay's Baked, and end up eating more than we should anyway.

Flat Earth chips have a healthy edge to them. I'm not sure if these are low fat, but they're baked chips that have fruits or veggies baked into them. They have a variety of both sweet and salty flavors.

I second moibec about the layes baked, love them. I don't know if you get this brand of chip where you live but it is called Tim's Cascade Style Potato Chips. These gems are extra thick and very crunchy and they come in all sorts of flavors, and also styles varieties. Tim's is my presonal favorite. Also they have these veggie chips that are lower in fat (forgot what they are called) that are really yummy.

Here are my favourite salty snacks (might not satisfy fried cravings but good!):
• pretzel-chips
• air-popped popcorn
• Parm crisps?
• soy crisps
• home-made trail mix (multigrain cheerios, shreddies, chex, craisins, sunflower seeds, peanuts/walnuts/almonds, or whatevs!~)
Good luck! :D

Cape Cod has a great low fat version. I also really like Kettle brand baked chips. They're actual slices of potato, not the pressed flakes :-)

these are not specifically chips... They're really mustard roasted potatoes, but I love to make them when I eat a hot dog or veggie burgers... You flavor them with grain or even yellow mustard and a little amount of oil, much less than if you would have roasted them normally. To me they are a great alternative... I am sure if you slice them thin, the recipe will hold too.
In chips, I always buy Lay's Natural, Lay's Baked or their Aerated kind... they have less chemicals and fat than other brands.

I also like the Cape Cod reduced fat kind, or my old go-to the reduced fat ruffles. If I go to the baked Lays I prefer the cheddar or barbecue ones. MAN I miss Tim's Cascade chips...

What happened to the Wow! chips (with olean)? They were just fine, and I never managed to eat enough to suffer the infamous side effects. But I haven't seen them for a while.

Utz marked 40% reduced fat. Can't remember if the oil is safflower or sunflower oil, although they do sell sunflower chips. They also sell baked chips and they're all better than any other brand, IMHO. They have a website and you can order online, although I didn't see the 40% reduced fat chips there. They are all reduced fat, but their regular chips are cooked in cottonseed oil.
