Black-eyed pea salad and a glass of grapefruit juice. Eating/drinking as I write.

Homemade 12 bean and vegetable soup and a garden salad from my work cafeteria.

I brought in half a baked potato I didn't eat from the other night's dinner. Wasn't hungry enough to eat it yesterday, and I didn't bring anything today, so that's lunch. I also have an orange on my desk, and I might make a trip to the vending machine for a 3 muskateers bar. Not exactly ideal, but not bad. Butter, salt, and horseradish cheddar on the tater, btw. yum.

I always have better leftovers when the bf is home and I am cooking large quantities of food, a luxury I am without this week.

A cookie. Haha. But, I'm about to make a pot of soup for dinner!

I actually took a friend out to lunch today. My treat since her birthday is this weekend. It was her choice so we went to PureBread. I got a Breeders Choice which is you shoose 2 of either: half soup, half sandwich, or half salad. I choose the salad/sandwich combo: Antipasto and a Great Dane (ham, brie, honey mustard on a grilled herb foccacia). Mmm.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Egg salad with green olives on a lettuce leaf.

A polenta casserole thingy that I made up - polenta with a later of swiss chard, goat cheese and caramelized onions in the middle, with a few cubes of ham for good measure. It came out pretty good for being almost totally improvisational.

And an apple. I'm back on an apple kick.

Technically, it's not lunchtime here yet. But I had lunch-food for breakfast. A roast beef sandwich. Just beef and mayo on bread.

So wish it was summer so I could have a tomato. Sigh.

Potato broccoli and cheddar lean cuisine, they were half off at acme, and since we've been eating leftovers for dinner, there hasn't been anything leftover to bring for lunch.

Grocery store salad bar. I totally should have brought the last of the chili I made the other night.

I absentmindedly left my Tupperware of homemade Kale soup at home, and so I was forced to buy today.
I went to Kameel's and bought a lamb wrap with tahini sauce, cukes, toms and a side of falafel. I only ate 1/2 the wrap because it was the size of an infant...but I ate all those delicious falafel...so crunchy on the outside, yummy on the inside...

Two clementines and a pile of year-end financials!

5 saltines dipped in hummus

I had leftover Kung Pao chicken with white rice.

Egg salad on toasted wheat bread... it's repeating a little *burp* :- \

Great White northern beans with chunks of ham in the beans....

Leftover beef bourguinon with noodles and hot tea.

Multigrain ciabatta bread sandwich with smoked turkey, tomato, avocado, lettuce, and honey dijon vinaigrette.

Probably a salad from the salad-bar-by-the-pound place in my building. But I'm actually in the mood for something hot and highly spiced, like Mexican. There are some mexican carts down the street but I'm wearing really uncomfortable shoes and don't feel like walking. Besides, they're not that great so if I walked down there I'd probably get a pulled pork from the Smoky Pig cart. I swear that's the best BBQ pork I've had in Portland. And he cooks it in a crockpot, it's not even really barbequed.

6 oz. baked chicken breast, marinated (soy, garlic, hot pepper)
3/4 c. brown rice
1/2 c. steamed broccoli
1 tangerine
2 wedges Laughing Cow light "swiss" cheese
20 oz. flavored seltzer (made via the Soda Stream machine at home)

That's been lunch this whole week.

Mushroom chowder with Madeira, shell pasta and rice; half a carton of grape tomatoes (5 oz = 26 calories, woohoo!); an energy drink.

Successfully resisted the Harry & David Chocolate Decadence in the copy room. =)

a bowl of triple squash soup from Whole Foods - same as every other day this week!

A bowl of homemade spicy bean and barley soup, a clementine and seltzer. That was hours ago, so I just ate a handful of almonds.

Chicken salad and a navel orange.

A panini sandwich with pesto, roast chicken, tomato, and provolone and a clementine. Now, sure would like some chocolate.

Mini scallion-ginger chicken meatballs over basmati with snap peas and shelled edamame. And some grapefruit.

1/2 Honeycrisp, crackers and peanut butter.

hummus and tabbouleh on pita

Lean Cuisine- barely edible
I need to start bringing leftovers to school, or maybe just eat the school lunch. It's gotta be better than Lean Cuisine!

Great, now I'm depressed...

@love2cook~What's a dutch baby?
@iz~HOW do you still have a honeycrisp? and HI.

I had my sweet Dash home sick so I made 2 little chicken pot pies in ramekins for lunch. Crust, mmmmmmmm...
Had to squeeze it in while on facebook and taking care of the baby (14).

Pea soup with Asiago cheese pepper bread, toasted and buttered. Then put on a pork soup with chunked pork loin, carrots, onion, celery, potatoes, broth, cumin, mex oregano, bay leaves, chipotle, and peas in my crock for dinner. Family and I love soups at this time of year, and when I come home to a freezing cold house at lunch....it is so comforting to heat up a bowl of soup.

Half a bahn mi sandwich. I think I eat bahn mi too much. Last time there was a "What did you eat for ____?" thread, I think I said "bahn mi" as well.

smoked salmon on a bagel with chive cream cheese, and half an orange. And of course, iced tea--I am a tea addict and drink it all day and night.

I had a 1 cup of vegetable soup, a few ounces of cantaloupes and grapes, and my daily can of San Pellegrino Aranciata.

HUGE platter of schwarma and chips slathered with green sauce. I'm still so full I can barely walk 5 hours later...

Bought a very nasty chicken baguette - ended up throwing half of it away and am now hoping that I won't be seeing it again later.....

Last night I made a box of Near East Mediterranean Curry couscous...added sliced kalamatas, fresh oregano, toasted pine nuts, feta cheese, and some chicken to it and it is lunch for my fiance and I today. It took about 10 minutes and is SO GOOD!

Turkey Gumbo, Brown Rice, and a hadful of grape tomatos.
