MIA: Do You Cook Differently When Others Are Out of Town?

My husband is going to be out of the country for the next two weeks. The bum is going to China, Vietnam, and Australia. He may even extend the trip to Japan and Italy. So, while he's out of town, we will probably have eggs a few times for dinner, because the kids love it, but the husband hates having eggs for dinner. I was also thinking about trying a dish from each country he's going to, kind of as a way to get the kids to try something new. But in general, our meals will be lighter; he's a meat and potatoes kind of guy. So folks, when someone you share meals with is out of town, do you eat differently?
