Kid-Friendly in Seattle

Going to Seattle at the end of March. Can anyone recommend some good restaurants that are also kid-friendly?

Also what non-restaurant food destinations should we go to? I know about Pike Place--anywhere else?

the chow foods restaurants - coastal kitchen, 5 spot, hi life, and endolyne joe's are engineered to be kid-friendly. the restaurants all offer kids menus, and are designed to have a "low roar" sound level that cancels out kid's outbursts. they're super kid friendly.

Wallingford, period. Wonderful restaurants all cultures. There are places that you can bring your dogs to. Oh and Greenwood, I was there last night at a Mexican place and they have a burrito the size of a new born baby, not kidding look up Gorditos. Lots of parents with kids there, great prices and the food is fresh and great tasting. Well for kids to check out in town the Pier, which has the Curiosity Shoppe, the Aquarium, and some just great places to eat. The zoo is great too, love to go to the zoo. The Seattle Center where they have a science center and the EMC, plus a slew of other things of interest for adults and children alike. Now is not the weather but I know kids love to go to Golden Gardens, depending on the weather. Also the SAM is a fun places for adults and children alike. When you are in town let me know and I would like to hook up with you, I will show you around the U Dist and take you to Shultzy's again a kid friendly place.

I loved Agua Verde. They have great fish tacos!

And don't forget Beecher's, but it's probably old news to you!

Don't for get to go to the locks on Lake Union. Rarely do you get to a place where they move boats back and forth just like in the Panama Canal.
Doc Maynard's Underground Tour in Pioneer Square is fantastic. And my kids loved going to Alkai Beach and picking up beach glass. Don't for get to go to the International District and eat Dim Sum and visit the fortune cookie factory. Have fun!

If your kiddos are younger than say, 15 I would skip EMP. It is very expensive and more about looking than touching. The troll in Freemont is always a kid pleaser, and Golden Gardens. I would say that most places in Seattle are kid friendly. I take my 14 month old just about anywhere, with no problems. Pike Place offers some great eats, just try and hit it on a weekday if possible.

Agua Verde I live 5 blocks from there, it is great on a sunny, warm day but unless you have time to kill, and want to wait a million years till your kids graduate from college and are now ready to get married then go their. The crap in the piers are fun but they are uber expensive as with the Pike Place Market, they are tourist traps. I still hold Wallingfod area.
