Chia seeds
I have heard that chia seeds are high in Omega 3, antioxidants, calcium and fiber. I bought a small amount locally ( it was $14.85 lb) to see if I could tolerate the flavor and texture. I added it to waffles. It wasn't even noticeable! Does anyone know where to get them at a far better price? I live near Kalamazoo, MI, but would be willing to order online. Thanks.

try GNC thats where I buy them. usually my local store doesnt have them but online does. although 14.85 isnt a bad price. They also work well in all kinds of baked goods although I prefer them in yogurt.

What do they taste like?

You can order them online at amazon.com. They seriously taste like nothing. Try soaking them in water to make a gel, and then add that gel to anything. It's supposed to be good for weight loss too

I thought your Chia pet died. What a relief!

I don't have a source, but I'd suggest either soaking or grinding them if you want any nutitional value from it, otherwise it can come out as it went in and you will miss all those benefits you pointed out.

Amazon has several affordable chia seed options. Just type it into the search field.
