Hi! I'm having a party and want to get a great an amazing brisket for it. I'm looking for Jewish style but it doesn't have to be kosher. Ideas?

I don't know where you would buy one, but I certainly know how you would make one. The awesome Nach Waxman's Brisket recipe is found all over the place for a reason. It's super good and super easy. It's in the Silver Palate's New Basics cookbook, but here's a link. It's really good.

thanks! it looks good but i need to get it catered or from a restaurant. any other ideas??

Zabar's or Second Avenue Deli

yikes! now you guys have me researching! have you gotten actual briskets from zabars? 2nd ave? katz?

Haven't had it but what about Sammy's Roumanian. Why can't you make it? Easy dish to prepare in advance and probably better than what you can buy.

do you guys have any classic but easy recipes? im just nervous to make it i dont cook red meat much usually just fish or chicken!!

I haven't tried this recipe: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/brisket_baby/.
But her lasagna was unbelievably delicious, for what it's worth. Good luck!
