What is the proper name of the decorative tips for a crown roast

What is the proper name of the decorative tips for a crown roast? Those cute little things that look like hats and all.

I have always heard them refered to as "frills".

I've always heard them called panties.

Maybe frilly panties????

I have always referred to them as frills.

I think frills is the winter.

Thank god. It would have been an strange phone call. "Yeah, Dad, tell mom i found the place which sells the panties she wants. I'll pick them up for Christmas dinner..."

that should have been: frills is the winner.

Chef's hats or booties can be added to the list. There must be a definitive name!

@BirdDoggie ~ LOL!

I thought they were called "hats"?

Goofy frilly things. We also call them beef hats, Cow crowns and meat mullets

Bone party hats.

Fluffy socks?

I honestly have no idea what they're called, but "hats" sounds so logical that it can't be that.

Paper ruffles?

My mom refers to them as the "underpants." I am relatively certain that is NOT the correct term.

I've heard them referred to as "panties."

This has to be the most hilarious set of comments I've read...esp. out of context. Thanks for the giggles. :D

I've never heard them called "panties"........

Plus, who wants to think of panties while enjoying a crown roast?

Boner panties.

@iz ~ somebody has to take up the gauntlet you threw down with your New Year's resolution!

i hope they are clean.

I was really hoping they'd actually be "boner panties".

Unfortunately, some google searching has led me to believe they are called "cutlet frills".
