Virgin or Bloody Mary: Way or No Way?
Bloody Marys and Virgin Marys are popular drinks at brunch especially, and the holiday season is peak for brunch.
There are many versions/variations. My favorite has vodka, V8, horseradish, tabasco, worcestershire sauce, celery salt, celery seed, pepper, lemon or lime juice, and a stalk of celery. I've had it with a little clamato juice, and gin instead of vodka and that's excellent, too. I'll use tomato juice, but really prefer V8. I've also had them with a little garlic and might just add that to my recipe.
My Irish Catholic mother once had a very turbulent flight, and we were all worried about her. Her response - between the Hail Marys and Bloody Marys, I was fine. Classic Mom!
Do you Bloody Mary? When do you drink it? How does yours differ from mine?
OR, would you never Bloody or Virgin Mary under any circumstances? Why not?
Way or No Way???
