Tyler Florence on "Momma's Boys"
I was checking out some TV listings and it looks like Tyler Florence is making a guest appearance judging a cooking challenge on NBC's latest reality debacle "Momma's Boys." (Yes, 32 women living in a house vying for the love of three men must win over the guys' moms sounds like GREAT television!) I was already mildly disappointed in the whole Applebee's situation, but bad reality television? He deserved Bourdain's Rocco DiSpirito award.

Rocco himself must have been busy...
Yeah, this does not bode well for Tyler.

oh NO! He should fire his agent, if not for this, then for allowing him to wear horizontal stripes on Tyler's Ultimate - repeatedly!

and here I was thinking that Tyler "was one" of mamma's boys.....

I agree with HIH - The agent needs to be drop-kicked. Anyone who would recommend his client do an appearance on a reality show needs to do something else for a living.

I hate to say it because I actually like and used to respect Tyler Florence, but for me anyway, that just put the final nail in his coffin of respectability.

I actually saw him tonight, in a white chef's coat, on that stupid, stupid show. Oh my darling Tyler, what were you thinking? That's strike two, and you know what happens with three strikes - and I don't mean bowling.

The sad thing is that he really seems to know his stuff in the kitchen. He makes beautiful food on Tyler's Ultimate. It's so unfortunate that he's doing this to himself. Pretty soon he'll be hawking his own line of cookware on the Home Shopping Network and coming up with a catch phrase.

I agree Pumpkin I used to love his food 911 too. He has so much talent and personality its almost criminal the way he's promoting himself, I like to think FN is responsible. Tyler was the only one whose recipe for biscuits was easy enough and concise enough for me to understand. I love that kid.

No one should be surprised..also FN is becoming a reality network itself with it's current new programming...perhaps the next idea will be Guy F & Tyler selling used cars in Applebee's & Diner/drive-in parking lots?
