Top Chef Train Wreck - Spoiler Alert

Did anyone else spend about ten minutes last night shaking their heads and mentally begging Daniel to shut up before he further threw *himself* under the bus? I couldn't believe it! I wanted that group to pull together, to come up with alternatives when their rice didn't turn out, or to at least nix the mushrooms at the bottom of the salad.

And I kept trying to mentally persuade Carla to step in and say something, but she never did, and I almost thought that she would get kicked out for keeping her mouth shut.

I know that Daniel really deserved to leave, but something in me really just wanted him to not make it worse for himself. Did anyone else feel that way, or did you just want him to go away no matter what happened?

S#$t, I forgot it was on last night, well I have to wait for rerun.

This is what I think they do for you to keep watching. It is like Danny Bonaducci on the curb with the bottle of vodka. How the hell do they do some of the things they do and still manage to work in the business?
You have to ask yourself are the restaurants these people work in always like this? I attribute a good portion of the chaos to the "I don't know where the utensils, staples, mise is", unfamiliar equipment, running around people who you don't normally work with.
Lots of newb mistakes. You have to wonder what goes through their minds.

In a Daniel v. Eugene showdown, I was hoping Daniel would go. He had a lot of nerve putting those mushrooms in Carla's salad. I will miss trying to figure out what he's saying when every word in a sentence almost sounds like one word. Go Ariane!!!!!

I wanted Daniel to just GO AWAY no matter what. I said this already in another thread, but I'll repeat it here: He deserved to go home for adding a component to another chef's dish without permission or the courtesy of at least a taste. That, and his "time of the month" crack made it compulsory for him to get the chop, imo. I couldn't stand the guy.

Ditto Brownie, and PerkyMac, he had no business adding anything to another chef's dish. It was almost like intentionally trying to have Carla come up looking bad. Good bye, and good riddance.

@ Brownie - WTF is wrong with that guy? Yeah he seems to be entertaining at first but the whole "bababooey"/camera mugging thing when he's supposed to doing a serious demo, the "time of the month" coment and what he said about his team's dish at Gail's shower ("I think they're going to love it...they're going to dance, take their clothes off...")? He has a really disgusting attitude towards females and hid fellow chefs. I could not believe he added a component to Carla's dish witout consulting her...not to mention he didnt let her taste it! I second the good riddance.

And don't forget his "party underwear." Ugh. It's been a while since I've been so happy to see someone eliminated from a reality show. He was terrible on so many levels.
