I would like to ask you for your suggestions on the best crème brûlée in Manhattan.
Thanks!

Do you prefer a very creamy-textured crème brûlée, or a slightly firmer type?

I'm not a huge creme brulee dessert-eater (I always have to get the chocolate option. Or a fruit crisp. Or alcohol-infused cake.)
But the creme brulee truffle at Kee's is to die for.

Call me old, but Le Cirque was where it was invented, go to the source. Mrs. Maccioni & Jacques Torres toyed with a flan-est type recipe -- somewhere between French/Spanish & Italian to get the original on the menu at Le Cirque.

Margherita on e4ast 89th has (assuming it's still open) a fantastic, silky-textured crème brûlée
@hondo3777: crème brûlée goes back a few centuries before Le Cirque!

I like the creamier type of crème brûlée, but everywhere I have it seems to be quite generic. My friend has never tried crème brûlée before and I'd like her first experience to be a good one, so I was curious as to where they might have some solid good crème brûlée.
Thanks again everyone
