I prefer crispy lettuce in salads and on sandwiches.
Romaine most of the time, as a salad by itself, or with any add-ins I have on hand, including veggies, fruit, meats & cheeses..
Iceberg wedges with bacon, bleu cheese and diced tomatoes for a nostalgic treat.
I love spinach and do eat it in salads, but only on occasion. I eat it cooked all the time.
There are so many other choices, too: Arugula, fennel, radiccio, mizuna, frisee, belgian endive to name a few. I've had all of these, but rarely buy them for myself.
