no-bake cookies
I LOOOOOVE the Lofthouse chocolate no bake cookies!!!! Does anyone have a recipe for this style cookie? I could just search online for one, but I'd rather have somebody give me one they've used and love!

I've never heard of those .... is it a mix?
I don't have any tried and true ones but my sis does. I'll get a couple recipes from her and post them later.

I don't know about Lofthouse chocolate cookies, but here's a link to a recipe that's just like the chocolate no bakes I grew up on:

Nigella Lawson has a recipe for one made with Mars Bars and cornflakes, which sounds like fun.

the recipe above is very much like what we called "Cow Plops" when I was growing up.
I would love a recipe like the regular Lofthouse cookies, the cakey kind with the icing on top.

@deetroitMI "Cow Plops" would be a very accurate description of their appearance. Everyone loved them, but moderation is recommended or else you might feel like what they look like.

We just called them Cocoa No Bakes when I was a kid. The recipe was in a 60s edition of the Betty Crocker book (but not the later one I have).
This is the closest recipe I could find online:

No, they don't look appealing when made. (However, you could probably put them in large fluted candy cups or something to make them a little more regular and pleasing.)

LunaPierCook is the only person I know who knows a recipe for this. So he tells me.

Oooh I made them all the time! Cocoa, peanut butter, oatmeal - are those the ones you mean? I'll get the recipe from home - it's the recipe I learned in 7th grade home ec, heh.

Try these no bake Peanut Butterballs from Gale Grand. I throw in a little vanilla. I've used peanut butter out of the jar, and they are good:

If I could eat PB, I'd prolly like these, but...
Is it just me, or do these appear to actually be a confection, and not a cookie?
No biggie. Just sayin...
;-p

LoCo - the recipe I linked to doesn't have PB in them. (I don't remember putting peanut butter in them as a kid.)
Yes, they totally fail the "cookie" test. Except for this crucial element - we were allowed to eat them as if they were cookies, which means two or three were a serving. If they were a candy, it'd only be one piece!
