Hey all!

What is the difference between ice cream and gelato!
My Mother - in - law stumped me the other day with this one!
I hate that when that happens! Apparently this is common "knowledge" of the Italian culture...yet she didn't give me an answer...
As you can tell from my previous posts...I'm trying to wow my family with a good gelato/ gelato desert this Christmas...we got hooked on the stuff in Italy!
Minor problem...apparently Haggen-Daz is not Gelato (don't laugh if you knew that it wasn't) ...anyway, any help on the issue would be great! And to one- up my in-law's is always great too!
