Unwrapped

There are quite a few Food Network shows that I find pretty boring and there are others that seem so unappealing that I can't understand why they're still airing.

Is anyone as weirded out by the show Unwrapped as I am? It's just disturbing footage of mass produced food with "informative" yet troubling facts thrown in for good measure. For example, I was watching earlier and it was an episode on fried food in which you're shown the innerworkings of a corn dog factory in California. The host, Marc Summers, said something like, "Sugar is usually added to the corn meal batter to make it more appealing to kids ..."

Is anyone else disturbed by this? I mean, these weird facts are thrown out in a way that's not critical. Like, "Look at the 17 animal parts and all of the additives that are thrown into a single hot dog, isn't that amazing?" No Marc Summers, it's not.

Am I the only one that feels this way?
