Serious Eats in Miami/South Beach Area?
My father and his friend are going on a golf trip this weekend to Miami/South Beach, and I'd love to give them some great restaurant recommendations.
Anyone familiar with the area? Mid-price range is preferable.
Thanks! :D

An informal lunch spot is La Sandwicherie in South Beach. Very French and fresh, very delicious sandwiches and fruit drinks. You sit on stools and eat outdoors but under a small roof.. Great South Beach atmosphere.
On a more elegant note, Emeril's at the Loew's Hotel is excellent, as all of Emeril's restaurants are.

Any kind of food specifically?
If in Miami, they have to hit up a Cuban casual dining restaurants - Sergio's on Coral Way or Bird Road is my absolute favorite and always a big hit with out-of-towners. Yuca on Lincoln Road in South Beach is also good for more fancy-Cuban.
Michael's Genuine in the Design district is also great - prices range all over the place since you can get small, medium, large or extra large portions.
For a more casual atmosphere, Scotty's Landing is definitely worth a trip. It's located behind a Marina in Coconut Grove (and almost impossible to find). They've got plastic tables right on the water with a gorgeous sunset view. Fried fish, crab cakes, conch fritters, chips and salsa and a bucket of beer. Nothing more Miami than that!
