Where can you buy Lavender...online maybe? I was thinking of making a lavender ice cream, But I have never seen it for sale (food grade)
What recipes do you all have for this unique ingredient?

Hmmm...I bought mine from a local farm, and I think they also sold some at the farmer's market. You're wise to mention that you want food-grade, because the stuff sold for potpourries could have things on it that you wouldn't want to eat.
If there are any local shops sell bulk tea, you might find some there.

Health food stores that sell herbs and spices in bulk often carry it, so you might find it locally.
I've been investigating lavender recipes as well. Martha Stewart has a recipe for lavender salt that I've always thought would be a great Christmas gift. Google "Martha Stewart lavender salt" and you'll get the link.
Here's a link to lavender jelly. What a fabulous color! I have no idea what it tastes like, but I'd love to find out!

I grow it and sometimes add a sprig or two with thyme and rosemary and a lemon to a chicken's cavity before roasting it.
