Is it just me?

Or does anyone else find themselves bumped to the bottom of the page every time they navigate to a new page here on SE? I'm running FF 3.0 on Vista Home and I don't have this problem with any other site.

It's really irritating, especially since I am usually on my laptop and mousing isn't as convenient.

Nope ... I'm running IE7 on XP, and Safari 3 on OS X and haven't seen that issue. Maybe you should try Opera for SE on a Vista box?

Don't have that problem on FF with XP...

Doesn't happen to me, either, but I've called this to the attention of our tech folks. --Adam, SE

I just thought of something, KTempesta. If you click on the "X-many Comments" link, it will scroll to the bottom, where you can leave a comment of your own. If you want to read a Talk topic (or blog post) from the top of the page down, click the title of the Talk topic (or blog post). See if that helps. --Adam, SE

@KTempesta: I tested FF3 on Mac and PC, and could not reproduce the problem you're experiencing. I have to agree with Adam -- perhaps you are clicking on the "x comments" link, which, by design, takes you immediately to the comments on a post.

Doesn't happen to me. I'm using Firefox 3.0 on Windows 2000. Hope you get it straightened out!

Those were some good suggestions (I never really paid attention to what I was clicking) but it turns out it doesn't make any difference what I click. I get sent to the bottom of the page on every page on the site, including the home page. And if I refresh a page, I get popped right back down to the bottom.

So I guess I answered my own question. It is just ME :-)

Since I get paid to QA in my real life, I should be more specific. I don't get bumped the very bottom of the page, but rather to whatever the content right above the footer is.

Also, I have the same behavior on all the other SE "family" sites.

I am running vista and am not having that problem.
