Great place for budget-friendly restaurant gifts
Found this site: affordable and original - had to share: www.hungrypotato.com. Sent Loveless Gift Basket to my in-laws, but they have t-shirts and other stuff too.

I find that Marshall's Homegoods has great food items. We talked about this last christmas when we all bought Sonoma Syrup Company Vanilla Extract Crush. Recently I bought Torrone which was really good. I keep finding Neilsen- Massey Vanilla there too.
All kinds of gourmet sea salts, infused oils, coffees. You can get a basket there and fill it. Great items and for once I am pleasantly surprised.
I been told tehy also own TJ Maxx so I would check there too.

I dunno. Me thinks howiemoney is a SHILL. They come out of the woodwork this time of year. Wonder if hungrypotato sells Kona coffee?
Great info Jerz! I haven't been to Marshall's in awhile, but I'm always amazed at the cool unusual things at really impressive (meaning CHEAP) prices. Same w/TJ Maxx. I didn't know they were related, but it makes sense.

Decidedly shill-ish. Two comments in 2 and a half months both pointing to the same website. Alas, the dangers of perusing the web.

I am so not a shill! I swear - I just like this site - and I've bought 4 things there now and they deliver fast and they now have food baskets so I decided to comment because I saw a Serious Eats article on Foodie Gifts. I just never comment unless I have something to say. YES - it was twice about the same site - but I mostly just peruse and drool over foodie commentary on places I can't get to. I joined to post when I saw that blog about restaurant tees a few months ago so I thought I should share hungrypotato with other Serious Eats folks, and then there was a gift blog the other day so I wanted to post again. GEEZ - I thought commenting was about sharing good ideas - I had no idea I had to vary my content or something... And TJ Maxx and Marshall's only carry things that have been on a truck forever - so watch the expiration dates on the food!
