Great dessert to bring to work?

My officemates alternate bringing in desserts, especially during the holiday season. What's a tasty, impressive dessert that's not too fussy to travel from home to work, and feed a group?

Anything - cookies, bars, pie, etc. Lemon bars, cheesecake, and pumpkin bars have been done already.

Also, no nuts! (allergies)

Thanks!

Brownies.

I was going to suggest peanut brittle, but that won't work...but you could make bacon brittle, or maybe use soy nuts or sunflower or pumpkin seeds or some other nutlike thing that isn't a nut.

Chocolate truffles.

Karen DeMasco's caramel corn (Fine Cooking Issue #68, www.finecooking.com) is always a huge hit at our parties. It's easy to do and is insanely addictive.

i make a trifle. layer either cake or brownies with chocolate and vanilla pudding. last layer whipped cream. then dot with hershey kisses. you can get them already out of the foil next the with the baking chocolates. everytime i make it the bowl is empty.

Pina colada cake. One of my coworkers brought this, it disappeared almost instantaneously, and I begged for the recipe.

1 box yellow cake mix with pudding in the mix
1 can Coco Lopez coconut cream (or other brand of coconut cream--in the liquor aisle for making pina coladas)
1/2 cup white rum
1/3 cup oil
4 eggs
1 15-oz can crushed pineapple

Mix cake mix, 1/2 of the coconut cream, 1/2 cup white rum, 1/3 cup oil, eggs and pineapple. Pour into greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 approx 40 minutes. Let the cake cool about 5 minutes before inverting onto a plate. Poke holes in the cake with a skewer. Mix the remaining coconut cream with a couple tablespoons of white rum and drizzle over the cake.

When you get there, you may garnish the cake with some whipped cream, cherries, shredded coconut, etc.

I say this hoping coconut isn't one of the allergies.

The first thing that sprang to mind was breakfast-style pastries, like muffins and scones--or mini-versions. They're easy enough to make to experiment with different add-ins, fillings, and toppings for the muffins, or a glaze for the scones. More elaborate stuff would include cinnamon buns, rugelah, Linzer Tortes, mini-quickbreads or Bundt cakes.

For something seasonal, peppermint bark is an idea, or real gingerbread (the soft, fluffy kind, not the kind they make for houses).

Has anyone brought home made twix bars?????

Cherry/Carob/Toffee cookies... if you prefer real chocolate, go ahead and substitute. These are awesome!!!

A Flan - I make it different by adding roasted sweet potato.

Carrot Cake or cupcakes... this recipe is super simple and really good. Just leave out the walnuts and you're fine.
