Have you checked out Bittman's recipe? It is the one I use.

I don't have a recipe. I cut them in diagonal chunks, toss them in olive oil and season w/s&p, roast until tender (they're great with parsnips, too). Then I melt some butter and brown sugar in a saute pan, and coat them. I've used white sugar in a pinch and that worked fine, too.
I like fresh herbs with glazed carrots. My favorite is thyme, but rosemary and tarragon are good, too. If I'm roasting at a very high temp, I add the herbs at the end. If roasting under 400, then I add them in the oven. If using dried herbs, add them to the roasting vegetables.
If your oven is otherwise occupied, they can also be steamed, then coated. Not quite as good, but still delicious. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope this helps.

-steam the carrots until tender.
-make a glaze of equal parts water, brown sugar, butter, and minced ginger (by weight) in a small pot
-strain the glaze
-toss the warm carrots (straight from the steamer) with the glaze.
-warm in a 350 oven for about 15 minutes.

I use Perky's style all the time, after they are glazed i dust them with crused caraway seeds and parsley. I also put a little lemon juice in my glaze.

Perky knows carrots. That is pretty much what I do but I add in a splash of orange juice or orange zest. Very nice!

i cut in not too thick diagonal slices and simmer in a small amount of water in a large frying pan with a cover till almost dry and fairly tender, then add a knob of butter, a few tablespoons of sugar (usually brown, but as above, white in a pinch) a little salt and pepper and toss and pan roast till carmalized and yummy.

@Jerzee & @huneybumper ~ I don't like anything too sweet and you both add citrus. I'm going to try both lemon and orange. I wonder how sesame seeds would taste? Normally, I just roast and eat, but I like to glaze them when I have company, especially little kids - they love them a little sweeter, like I did when I was a little one. Yep, I can remember that far back!!! ;-D
