cookie tins?
I am looking for some unique cookie tins for the holidays. I live in manhattan and would prefer to get something in a store (opposed to online). I know there are some generic ones at all the big stores...but does anyone know where i can get unique cute cookie tins??

Craft shops - Michaels or hobby lobby have some cute options. In the city I bet there are a ton of local craft shops that are more personal.

@love2cook: took the words right out of my mouth. I got my tins every year at this time from craft stores and find the coolest ones.

I don't know of any craft stores in city. That seems to be more of a suburban phenomenon..If anyone knows of one, please do tell! I say on-line would be your best bet. I need some as well. One place you might try in nyc is Zabar's. You could also use large preserving jars (from Zabar's) which make for a nice presentation and are not too expensive.

All of the awesome/cute tins I have I've purchased at antique stores or thrift shops. You obviously want to avoid the rusty ones and you must clean them thoroughly once at home, but it's an otherwise cheap and painless process.
I've found that antique stores have the best. I have a ton from the 50's that were like, three bucks each.
