Book about studying at Le Cordon Bleu?

I have a friend who had it in her head that I own/had read a book by a woman who went to study at Le Cordon Bleu...she thinks the title involves something about a sharp knife. And she also remembers a hilarious story from it about butchering a quail. She knows it's not Julie and Julia...it's also definitely not My Life in France.

Unfortunately, I have no clue what she is talking about, and I have been unable to identify the book based on the limited information. Does anyone here have a clue as to what this might be?
