Best Korean BBQ NYC

I'm looking for a good korean bbq restaurant that's good for large groups. Preferably for groups about 10-15 people. I've seen many reviews but they all seem to say the same thing so i'll base it off of peoples experiences.

thanks!

I like Seoul Garden: 34 W 32nd St # 2, New York NY 10001; 212-736-9002. Look for the sign. It's sort of poorly marked and hidden. You're essentially going into what looks like an office building, and it's on the 2nd floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. It's definitely big enough for a large party, but you'd probably want to call in advance, as it gets pretty busy around 7 or 8. Good news is that, if I remember correctly, it's open 24 hours. Heh.

Madangsui on 35th is probably your best bet in Manhattan. Not the greatest of all time, but good, and they have the grilles built into the tables (I'm assuming that's what you're looking for.) Plus, they can accommodate big groups, and they take reservations.

If you're willing to trek out to Flushing, the best BBQ I've had, hands down (and I've had A LOT) is from Jang Tuh Sutbulgi, on 37th ave between Union and Main st. The meat is the highest quality, in the tastiest marinade, and the panchan are all fantastic. the kicker though, is that they have real hardwood coals brought out to your table, not a gas grill or hotplate. They have room for big parties.

I am a woochon fan.

If you want the best Korean BBQ, Palpark has a place called so moon nahn jib..

but assuming you want to stay in the city:
For Galbi: Madangsui (i prefer the non-marinated version)
For Pork belly (sam gyub sal): Choongmu Roh

If you're not going to order one of those two, you shouldn't be going to Korean BBQ.. the chicken/seafood dishes are not what you should be ordering.

Both places can take big reservations

I second Madangsui. It can get busy during peak times, but it doesn't feel as cramped as some of the other BBQ places, and I REALLY like their joo mool reok meat (the boneless short ribs, I think?). The banchan offerings and service is a bit better than some of the other K-Town regular spots.

Don's Bogam on 32nd btw 5th and madison!!
