Wine Tasting Course in NYC
I'm looking for a wine tasting course in New York City, something for beginners, learning about how to taste and choose wine. I have a budget of $200 for the course. I would prefer it to be a multi-day course instead of a one day class, but I am open to anything!
Does anyone have any good suggestions?
Thanks

Crush offers a different variety of classes. I took one on how to read a menu and order wine, very cool. You can pick a few different ones that interest you. also check out www.localwineevents.com

Look into Italian Wine Merchants also in Union Square. I hear they offer great classes.

Most of these will be beyond your buget (sorry), but the classes are excellent.

Otto does a quick one (i think its 2 hours, and about $45). Its not a great "course" (there's not too much discussion of the wine) but you get to try about 8 wines with a few snacks. its a great thing to try on a sunday afternoon with nothing to do.

I took the "Navigating a Restaurant Wine List" class at Bottlerocket (19th Street b/w 5th & 6th) and found it fun & very informative. I believe they have a 4-week class series.

Vero in midtown has wine classes on Saturday afternoons from 4-6 very resonably rpiced in the 60.00 range with tastings and some food (i believe)..every week features a new wine so you cna pick what you would like to learn about-go once or go to all!
