Who sells dried porcini mushrooms in NYC?
After reading recent recipes in NYTimes using dried porcini mushrooms, I'm on the hunt for dried porcini mushrooms in the NYC area. Does anyone know where I can get them at a reasonable price? What would be a reasonable price? Thanks!

You could probably find them at most gourmet supermarkets. I am sure Zabar's and Fairway must carry them for a decent price. You might also check Chelsea market.

I bought some a week ago at Whole Foods. They had a pretty wide variety of packaged dried mushrooms.

I bought some yesterday at Kalyustans on 28th and Lex. I was surprised to find 2 different kinds. Both said Porcini but had differing latin names.

I second the vote for Kalustyan's. They have a great variety of dried mushrooms for better prices than WF or any of the other uppity chain groceries.
