Trusty Old Gadgets

I don't have many expensive kitchen gadgets. As a matter of fact, many of them are hand-me-downs or were purchased second hand. I have favorite kitchen tools that were ridiculously inexpensive; like my wooden rice spoon or the cast iron skillets that I got for $10, but my favorite is ....

My Toastmaster Snackster! Does anyone have one of these? I've been looking online for info. on them, but I can't find anything. It appears as if I have one of the older models. It's a sandwich press, but nothing similar to a fancy (and expensive) panini press. It has two little square molds that you place your sandwiches into and then pull down the top. It smashes your sandwiches, crimps the sides together creating a toasty on the outside, cheesy and gooey on the inside toasted sandwich. It's my new obsession and I bought it used from some guy at the liquor store for six bucks.

So, what's your favorite old gadget? Nothing fancy!
