NYC Museum Pilgrims looking for dinner and glass of wine
Mom and I are making our annual pilgrimage to the art museums in NYC. We're staying in the Upper West Side and spending all day on our feet. I'd love to find a couple of dinner spots that don't require reservations but offer a nice dining experience. I try to avoid places that seem to be filled with just tourists. What are your favorites?

Casellula in Hell's Kitchen comes to mind since you mention a glass of wine. And since you'll be museum hopping, you should also try and eat at the Bar Room at The Modern (at the MoMA). They do take reservations, but you should be able to walk-in during off-peak hours.

I suggest Payard on the Upper East Side near Museum Mile. Great Food and wine and unpretentious.
